Us
Children's Wishes was started to preserve a local organization governed by a local board and is funded
partly through individual and corporate donations.
At this time, Children's Wishes has the purpose to grant wishes to children with life-threatening
medical illnesses and work closely with children's hospitals, physicians, child life specialists and parents.
We grant wishes to children between the ages of 2 and half and 18 years of age.
We hope that the memories for the wish child and his/her family will fortify them during the difficult days
that lie ahead and strengthen them to cope with the challenges of that child's illness. Granting a wish to children living
with a life-threatening illness is our one and only mission.
Wish-granting has proven to be a powerful healer of a child's spirits, working to restore strong family
bonds because we make every effort to include the child's immediate family and create an experience that will last a lifetime.
Some examples of wishes children dream about are to have their very own computer, go on a family vacation, meet their heroes, and other special
wishes unique to child. Wishes can be simple like wanting a party for their family and friends or visiting a country of their
heritage.
Whatever the wish, our organization works to bring dreams to life. All our families, donors, and volunteers are invited to be part
of our wish community.
